Nikole Neidlinger, MD, joined our faculty on March 1 as an Associate Professor in the Division of Transplantation. Dr. Neidlinger received her medical degree from Tulane University, completed her general surgery residency at University of California-San Francisco, and completed her transplant fellowship here at UW. Her clinical focus will be on kidney and pancreas transplant surgery and donor nephrectomy surgery.
Dr. Neidlinger will serve as Associate Medical Director of Organ and Tissue Donation (OTD), the organ procurement organization of UW Health. Working collaboratively with OTD Medical Director Anthony D’Alessandro, MD, her initial leadership responsibilities will focus on monitoring and responding to changes in policies and regulations affecting the OTD, supporting the continued development of a centralized recovery center at UW Health, and increasing the level of communication and outreach activity at donor hospitals.
