Welcome Dr. Winslow to the Acute Care and Regional General Surgery Division

Emily Winslow, MD, MS, returns to UW-Madison as a Professor in the Acute Care and Regional General Surgery Division. Dr. Winslow began her career here at UW-Madison, where she remained for a decade. She served as both an Assistant Professor and an Associate Professor in the Division of General Surgery from 2009-19. During that time, she obtained a Masters of Clinical Investigation through the UW Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, which helped launch her research efforts that focused on the intersection of abdominal imaging and surgical outcomes. Based primarily at UnityPoint Health – Meriter Hospital, Dr. Winslow will also practice at UW Health East Madison Hospital and University Hospital, focusing primarily on clinical care and education. Dr. Winslow has spent the last five years as a Professor of Surgery at Georgetown University School of Medicine and was the Regional Chief of Hepatopancreaticobiliary Surgery at Medstar Health in Washington, D.C.
