Dr. David Francis Elected to the Board of Directors of the ABOHNS

Dr. David Francis, Associate Professor in the Division of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS).

The ABOHNS is a specialty certifying body for Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeons in the United States, serving to improve the quality of care for patients and their families. Obtaining and maintaining board certification signifies to patients and colleagues that the Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon meets the high standards for the specialty.

The Board of Directors of the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery is comprised of 18 directors and each is eligible to serve two consecutive five-year terms. Members are elected by the board based on personal qualities, leadership abilities, collegiality, previous engagement with the ABOHNS activities and initiatives, as well as geography and diversity.
