Dr. Angela Gibson, Associate Professor in the Division of Acute Care and Regional General Surgery and Medical Director of UW Health Wound Healing Services, discussed the impact of the UW Health Burn and Wound Center at the 20th annual Paul Davis Invitational golf outing.

“It’s hard work for everyone and I think that seeing them be successful years out is what keeps me going,” Dr. Gibson said.

Paul Davis Restoration of South Central Wisconsin has partnered with the Department of Surgery to help support the UW Burn and Wound Center, raising more than $1 million over the course of their 20-year commitment. Read more about this partnership here.

In addition, it was announced at the golf outing that Dr. Gibson has been awarded the Paul Davis Community Professorship. This endowed professorship was established by Paul Davis Restoration of South Central Wisconsin and will support Dr. Gibson’s focus on research, education, patient care, and any other initiatives that advance the mission of the UW Health Burn and Wound Center in the Department of Surgery.
