Dr. Samuel Poore, Associate Professor and Chair of the Division of Plastic Surgery, was recognized at the UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health Investiture Ceremony held on June 26, 2024. Dr. Poore was named the inaugural holder of the Endowed Chair of Global Education in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
An Endowed Chair position is among the highest honors an institution can bestow on a faculty member. It recognizes their steadfast commitment to improving human health and training the next generation of physician-scientists. Dr. Poore is a leader in his field, making significant advances to microsurgery while providing invaluable mentorship to future surgeons and scientists.
