Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

1-3 years of relevant clinical experience preferred. Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. For the senior level position, a minimum of 7 years of experience is required for appointment.

Principal duties:

The Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology is seeking a Clinical Audiologist. The incumbent will administer and interpret audiologic and vestibular test battery to inpatients and outpatients of all ages at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and American Family Children’s Hospital. This will also include counseling patients and their families regarding test results and implications for communication, completion of hearing aid evaluations, hearing aid fittings and dispensings, and hearing aid follow-up performance evaluations with individual/family counseling. The ideal candidate will have the experience necessary to perform VEMP, VNG, ABR testing as needed by the department. This position will be actively involved in the informal teaching of ENT residents, medical students, graduate Audiology students, and supervise AuD students during their externship. Other opportunities include participation in cutting edge research and academic endeavors. The position will also be expected to provide expert advice to staff physicians, nurses, social workers, residents and community resources outside the department.
